hunting dogsSievers Retrievers is located between the Illinois and Mississippi River in beautiful Calhoun Country, IL. Our area has rolling hills, bluffs, flat lands and lakes. We are near Brussels, IL, which is 50 miles from Lambert St. Louis International Airport. We are devoted to raising beautiful, healthy, well-balanced and socialized Golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers. All of our breeds are free from hereditary problems.

We are the most referred breeder of Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers and Doodles in the greater St. Louis area. Recommended by veterinarians, trainers, boarding kennels and previous owners of Sievers Retrievers.

Our breeding program started in 1980 by myself, my wife and daughter Bonnie. We have been selectively breeding, showing, and hunting golden retrievers, labrador retrievers and doodles during that time period. All of our dogs make wonderful family pets. We have worked extensively with our veterinary clinics located in the greater St. Louis area and our own veterinarian, Dr. Pat Graham DVM of the Ghrist Vet Clinic in Pittsfield, IL. We do this to constantly improve our breeding program. Our dogs and puppies are thought to be the healthiest and well socialized you will find in the entire Midwest region.

kennelWe combine excellent confirmation, exceptional good looks, intelligence and athleticism for the perfectly balanced dog. In order to achieve this goal, we begin with wonderful foundation bitches and sires that possess several generations of hip, eye, and clearance. Our puppies are bred for wonderful dispositions and temperaments to provide great companionship and use as family pets, therapy dogs, seeing eye dogs and of course, hunting companions. You will not find more loyal, affectionate, trust worthy companions.

We invite you to come see our dogs, and facilities.

At Sievers Retrievers kennels, when you take your new addition home to your family, you are also taking the following assurances with you. Every Sievers dog comes with a written 30-month health guarantee for hips dysplasia, and a 1-year guarantee on any genetic elbow, eye or heart problems.

baby dogsEach puppy is given two initial vaccinations and worming treatments. We offer after the sale support for the lifetime of the dog. Because of our deep love for each of my puppies that we sell, we are extremely careful to make certain that our puppies are placed in good homes. Potential buyers must posses the knowledge, ability and resources to provide a clean, safe, happy, healthy home for their new family addition. We also want to insure that our dogs will be given plenty of training, playtime, love and attention.

Today’s puppies are tomorrow’s companions. If you have any questions feel free to call us at (618)946-3078 or email us.
